West Indies vs India, 3rd T20I Predicted Playing XIs: India search for apt batting composition after defeat in 2nd T20I

India and West Indies will face each other in the third game of the five-match T20I series at Warner Park in St Kitts on Tuesday, August 2.

After winning the ODI series 3-0 and the first T20I by 68 runs, Rohit Sharma’s men were high on confidence. However, West Indies made a stupendous comeback to draw level in the T20I series after winning the second match by five wickets.

India failed to recover from the early blow of Rohit’s dismissal and were bowled out for 138 in 19.4 overs. As many as six of their batters got into double digits, but none of them could get a substantial score.

Rishabh Pant looked ominous, having scored 24 with one four and two sixes before Akeal Hosein accounted for his wicket. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja scored 58 runs, but played at under a run-a-ball.

Obed McCoy picked up six wickets and bowled one maiden to break the backbone of the power-packed Indian batting. He also won the Player of the Match award.

West Indies also had their fair share of struggles in their run chase as they needed 10 to win off their last over. But Devon Thomas’s unbeaten 19-ball 31 helped them cross the finishing hurdle.

Brandon King took the Caribbean team off to a decent start after scoring 68 off 52 with fours and two sixes. Avesh Khan got rid of the big fish in the 16th over, but failed to hold his nerve in the last over of the home team’s run-chase.

Avesh leaked 31 runs off 2.2 overs and was India’s most expensive bowler on the day. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the only Indian bowler who couldn’t take a wicket.
