Former actor Zaira Wasim’s post about floods and locust attacks received an overwhelming response, prompting her to deactivate Twitter and Instagram accounts, but the “Dangal” star has now made a comeback on social media. Zaira had created a storm on social media after she tweeted a verse from the Quran, which many said to have justified the locust attacks in various states across the country.
“So We sent floods and locusts and lice and frogs and blood upon them: the sign openly self-explained: but they were steeped in arrogance—the people given to sin—Qur’an 7:133 (sic),” said Zaira Was in a now deleted post. However, the same post is still visible on his Instagram page, where he also shared a video.
Zaira was criticized by social media users for her insensitivity towards those affected by the locust attacks, due to which she deactivated both her Twitter and Instagram accounts. But on Saturday, she restarted her accounts and explained in a post why she had opted out of the social media platform. 19-year-old Zaira said in response to a question from a user, “Because I am just a human being like everyone else, who is allowed to take a break from everything when the noise in my head or around me reaches its peak. Is.”
However, he has since deleted the new post. Last year, the National Award-winning actress was at the center of a debate when she announced her “separation” from acting, saying she was not happy with the line of work as it interfered with her faith and religion. He said that it felt like he had struggled to be someone else for a very long time. The actor, who was in his early teens when he appeared in ‘Dangal’ opposite Aamir Khan, also featured in the 2017 production venture ‘Secret Superstar’. His last film was “The Sky Is Pink” with Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar.
